HikingFor nature lovers Taisten offers numerous hiking trails and cycling routes. Alpine hiking in the Gsiesertal valley, the Fanes Sennes Prags nature reserve and the Sexten Dolomites are all in close proximity. A top tip for families and adventurers are Pragser Wildsee Lake, Lake Toblach and the famous Lake Antholz, which are accessible by car in just half an hour from Taisten.

Taisten in winterTaisten is not only a great summer holiday resort, but also offers guests a full programme of events in winter too. Superb, extensive cross country skiing trails in the Gsiesertal valley and to Cortina will make sports fans' hearts beat that little bit faster. In addition there's plenty of fun for the family around the small ski lift in Taisten, which is within easy walking distance. In the immediate vicinity (10 km away) is the Kronplatz, South Tyrol's number 1 skiing mountain, with Europe's most modern ski lifts. Thanks to the excellent condition in which the pistes are kept, the Kronplatz is also the most beautiful ski carousel in the Dolomites.

For our younger guests there is the renowned Acquafun adventure swimming pool nearby (20 minutes by car) where adults too have been known to have a whale of a time on the giant slide.
